Listen "#4 DEATH, DYING AND ECOLOGICAL CEMETERIES "
Episode Synopsis
Pernille Otzen is our guest for today. She’s a very colourful woman, well travelled, curious about life and fascinated by the subject of dying.
She’s starting an Eco Forest Cemetery project after receiving money from women in various mandalas and decided to convert her gifts towards a higher purpose. During her travels in South America she noticed how people in the villages were living in harmony with nature, yet they had cement cemeteries.
She’s decided to seek a kinder and more spiritual approach to death and dying while seeking to find an ecological and sustainable way to deal with our bodies after we pass.
As morbid as death can be, it's a truly enlightening discussion about
Resting in Peace
The ecological consequences of the afterlife
Making cemeteries peaceful and joyful places
Planting trees to make forest cemeteries
Removing the trauma of death
Providing a healing space for mourning
Developing kinder places for healing for family and friends
Cemeteries as guardians of the forests
