For this week's conversation I am joined by the CEO of Black Girls RUN!, Jay Ell Alexander.  Black Girls RUN! began as a blog in 2009 where the co-founders journaled about their running experiences. As the popularity of the blog increased and an initial call out brought out a few hundred women, BGR moved from being a blog to  becoming a community. BGR is now a 250, 000 -strong organization that tackles the growing obesity epidemic in the African-American community and encourages, motivates and provide resources to help black women practice a healthy lifestyle.
