We are dedicated to celebrating women—one per episode—who we lovingly & reverently call “our Sheelas.” Elizabeth (Lizzie) Magie was a reformer against big business, an economist, an actress, a writer, a poet and a pioneering feminist and inventor who held several patents (She also worked in the dead letter office!). She invented an anti-capitalist board game that was stolen by a lying, opportunistic man and repackaged as capitalist family fun.
