Gwen Frostic Was born on April 26, 1906. She was an American artist, entrepreneur, author, and Michigan Women's Hall of Fame inductee. Gwen is also near & dear to Missy's heart, as Missy spent her summers in Northern Mi, visiting Gwen Frostic's studio with her mom.
 
The most amazing thing about Frostic was although she suffered from Cerebral palsy, compromising movement & agility in her hands, Gwen overcame this obstacle, becoming a successful artist, creating Linocut block print artwork, based on her love for nature & animals.
