Sometimes life changes in ways we never expect. I never imagined I would find myself in this situation—isolated and unsure of where to turn. That changed when I began working at the Lighthouse for the Blind. Amen to that blessing.There, I met wonderful people who truly care for one another. When I get lost, they guide me back; when I struggle, they offer a helping hand. It’s not a grammar or desk job, but it has been so much more than work—it has been a bridge to new connections and a source of learning.Through this job, I’ve discovered that acceptance is not always easy, but it is possible. Each day, I grow stronger and more hopeful. I share my story in the hope that someone out there, feeling alone or uncertain, will see that they, too, can find their way forward.
