This year, my family and friends came together to preparea warm Thanksgiving dinner for people who often feel alone—those withoutfamily, those who are isolated, and those who are part of the Lighthousefor the Blind community.With love and teamwork, my amazing friends cooked incredible food andopened their hearts to welcome everyone as family. We invited coworkersand community members to join us at the table, and for those who didn’tfeel comfortable coming in person because of insecurity or shyness, wedelivered plates of food to their homes. Their smiles, gratitude, andhappiness made the whole day even more meaningful.This Thanksgiving reminded me how important it is to reach out to peoplewho feel lonely, unseen, or disconnected. A simple meal, a warminvitation, or a small act of kindness can make a huge difference. I amdeeply grateful to my family and friends who supported me—without them,none of this would have been possible.I hope this episode inspires someone out there to share love, food, andconnection with people who have no family or who feel alone during theholidays. Sometimes, one gesture of kindness can change someone’s entireday.
