Listen "Romans - Week 22 - (11/3/2024)"
Episode Synopsis
In this powerful exploration of Romans 13, we're challenged to consider our role as Christians in relation to governing authorities. The apostle Paul's words remind us that all authority comes from God, urging us to be subject to our leaders. However, this doesn't mean blind obedience. We're called to discern when human laws conflict with God's commands, as exemplified by Daniel's courageous defiance in Babylon. This message invites us to reflect on how we navigate the tension between earthly citizenship and our ultimate allegiance to God's kingdom. Are we living as salt and light in our society, respecting authority while standing firm in our faith? Let's prayerfully consider how we can be both good citizens and faithful followers of Christ in today's complex world. This sermon was first preached by Pastor Jason Mitchell at Springfield Church of God on November 3, 2024
