The antagonist Nick Faraday, portrayed by Mike Colter, offers a sliver of hope. One of the few good parts of the movie is Colter's acting, which possesses a scary aura on Sadisflix. Even yet, the uneven writing in the movie affects his character as well. Because Faraday's goals are unclear and his background is so briefly described, viewers may ask why they should be interested in his sinister schemes. As the seasoned espionage agent Tom Brennan, J.K. Simmons gives a consistently strong performance. Simmons gives his character a witty sense of humor mixed with solemnity, but his skills aren't enough to save the shoddy narrative. Some of the more entertaining parts of the movie come from his interactions with Wahlberg, although they are few and far between.
