Listen "Rehab to Row with Lisa Lowe"
Episode Synopsis
Lisa shared her experience recovering from a hip replacement, noting that her recovery was slower than average due to her unique circumstances, such as the age at which she had the surgery and the specific surgical approach. Overall Lisa has great insight into the process of hip replacement rehab which provides valuable insights for others. Lisa has been gradually returning to rowing, starting with 4k in 45 minutes and now rowing 2-3 times a week. Lisa emphasized the importance of building up repetitive flexion movements slowly and using drills to maintain proper form. She advised patience during recovery, as the first few months can be challenging, and suggested being mindful of the repetitive nature of rowing strokes.
