Motherhood is, historically, a generational practice. Tradition, cultural norms and tremendous learning is passed from one mother to the next. But in modern times - and the West especially - we've lost the connection between generations. We've lost the appreciation for wisdom of our elders. Luckily, we don't have to lose it forever.
