Episode Synopsis

This episode features Noelle Lambert, the founder of the Born to Run Foundation. She lost her leg in 2016 and competed in 2019 with a 4th place finish. A very inspiring and unique story with a lot of variety. She has recently started running after playing lacrosse with her college team.   

RIISE is a new student-organization on Purdue University's campus. RIISE stands for Reinventing the Interface of Inclusivity, Sports and Engineering. Our mission? Together, we strive to raise awareness for Paralympic sports around the world and pursue projects at the interface of inclusivity, sports and engineering. RIISE was created at Purdue University, one of the best engineering hubs in the US. Therefore, we plan to use our platform to showcase Paralympic excellence around the world while pursuing projects and hosting events to improve sports accessibility in our local community and beyond. We are a club made up of students from different backgrounds and disciplines, striving together towards a world where athletes at all levels have the means and support to play and perform at their full potential.   

The direction of this podcast is to interview Paralympians and influencers of the Paralympic movement. Everything from telling a story, to talking about change we can make as a community... Stay tuned for other exciting episodes coming soon!
