Episode Synopsis

In our weekly Research Culture Uncovered conversations we are asking what is Research Culture and why does it matter? This episode is part of Season 5, where we are investigating the impact of impact on research culture. In this episode your host, Ged, is joined by Dr Faith Welch and Jaylene Wehipeihana. Faith is the inaugural Research Impact Manager at the University of Auckland where Jaylene is the inaugural Research Manager Vision Mātauranga. Before moving to Aotearoa New Zealand Faith worked at the University of Bristol in an impact role supporting academics in the Science and Engineering faculties. Prior to that she worked for the UK's Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council, or BBSRC, in innovation and business engagement. Jaylene has worked at the University of Auckland for over 6 years in research management, strategy development and implementation. Prior that she worked for the Health Research Council in Aotearoa New Zealand.
