Listen "Episode 8: The Parable of the Samaritans and the Teenage Entrepreneurs "
Episode Synopsis
The aim of this short series of podcasts is to see how both businesses and the voluntary sector have weathered the pandemic storm. We explore if there have been shared experiences that have helped and potentially if any of these can go on or be developed further to help strengthen the links between the two. The title reflects a key lesson learnt in the episode...
Joining me on this episode are Becky Brown, Head of Six Form at Walthamstow Hall, Kay Turner, Regional Volunteer Officer and the Lead for Sevenoaks Samaritans and Martin Stanton, Volunteer and Fundraising Lead at Sevenoaks Samaritans
Samaritans is a registered charity aimed at providing emotional support to anyone in emotional distress, struggling to cope, or at risk of suicide throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Walthamstow Hall was founded in 1838 and is one of the oldest all-girl independent schools in the country. It provides an 'all-through' education with a Junior School for girls aged 3–11 and a Senior School for girls aged 11–18.
We discuss a project that Walthamstow Hall and Sevenoaks Samaritans collaborated on in conjunction with Entrepreneurs in Action.
I hope you enjoy it and we will have the next episode out next Monday.
