In this episode we instructions from God telling His people how they should conduct themselves as His Holy nation. We also learned about the three feast God instituted for His people to have yearly (Feasts of Unleavened bread, Feast of Pentecost, and the Feast of Tabernacles). The journey of the children of Israel is a type of our journey to our promised land (New Jerusalem - Revelation 21).
In verse 29, God said He would give the children of Israel the victory little by little. We also gain our victory little by little. God does not show us all the things He needs to change in us all at once. He deals with our flaws little by little, situation by situation. If a situation arises and we find ourselves getting jealous because of that person…God allowed that to happen so that He could deal with that jealousy. Or if something happens and we find ourselves dealing with unforgiveness…God allowed that situation to happen to deal with our unforgiveness. The same goes with any faults we find rising in us. Our part is to recognize the fault, don’t run from the situation but to allow God to cleanse us and remove that thing…whatever it may be.
