The Israelites were told to watch the ark carried by the Priest and follow it into the Jordan River (which parted like the Red Sea). The ark of the covenant represented the presence of God. We are also supposed to keep our eyes on God and follow where He leads. If we keep our minds stayed on Him, He will keep us in perfect peace even with all the chaos going on in our nation.
