Through his anecdotes you could tell he had natural-born leadership, maybe not always pointing in the direction but it was there; you need to listen to the child mischief he would get into.


One of the most impactful things he mentioned on this episode was "you become obligated to give back to the [...] community." And he didn't mean it as a drag or with a negative connotation. Simply put, he deeply desires to help people and impact their lives in a positive way. "Tech gave me the opportunity to do so."


My biggest take away for people who are thinking about going into another direction with their life was to dig deep: try to leverage skills and knowledge that you already have to catapult your way into a new industry or venture. And lastly, the importance of having not only a goal in place, but also have a strong reason tied to it. Do not skip this value-packed episode!
