Welcome to Glenn Robison’s Rapidly Rotating Records, bringing you vintage music to which you can’t *not* tap your toes, from rapidly rotating 78 RPM records of the 1920s and ’30s.
Welcome to the very first Rapidly Rotating Records show of 2021. I imagine you’ll join me in hoping that the new year will be much better than 2020. In the second segment of the show, we’ll have another episode of “One Thing In Common.” That’s the musical game where we play a set of records which seemingly have nothing whatsoever to do with each other and yet have…one thing in common. In the third segment of the show we’ll have a set of “clean” songs. Now that we have a couple of vaccines again the COVID virus, it’s important for everyone to get vaccinated as soon as available to them so the last segment of the show has a set of songs about getting a shot. There’s also detailed information about the fascinating life of W. B. Chenoweth, leader of Chenweth’s Cornfield Symphony Orchestra. And in the spirit of the new year, the first segment of the show is a set of “new” songs.  There’s lots of great music and interesting information so set aside an hour, prepare your favorite beverage, get comfortable and enjoy the show. It will be time well spent.
