Today on Arts Alive! host Bill DeYoung, St. Pete Catalyst, welcomes digital artist Keaton Fox, a Miami native who currently calls St. Petersburg home. Through a grant from Creative Pinellas, Fox has a new video installation, making its debut Saturday during the Second Saturday ArtWalk, at the Gallery at FloridaRAMA. Video installation, in the scheme of things, is a relatively new form of artistic creation, and in this podcast Fox explains how she became drawn to it. Her work has been featured in Boston, Chicago, Miami, Athens (Georgia), Lincoln, Brooklyn, France, the U.K. and lots of points in between.
The FloridaRAMA piece, “Quiet at Heart,” is designed to envelop the viewer into natural Florida, far from the turmoil and tension of the state’s ongoing politics and overall weirdness.
