Episode Synopsis

As a final project for my Arizona Media Law class at the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law, I offer the following podcast, branded as Pod Law, as what I hope will offer you a helpful and easy to understand guide on podcast law. While I’ve spoken with several of the top media law experts in the country, the following content is by no means a substitute for seeking out your own legal counsel. Nor is it a substitute for your own research. It is, however, a stepping stone to both, providing commentary and analysis of the basics of podcast law from lawyers who normally charge thousands upon thousands of dollars to represent clients. That being said, everything you’ll hear is no more than opinion offered for educational purposes, and does not replace your own research and legal representation both before and after starting a podcast.
One final note: this is a resource I would like to maintain, which means updating the content for changes in podcast law, as well as improving what is already there. If you believe something doesn’t sound completely right, or have something to add, don’t hesitate to reach out and contact me with the information contained in the show notes of this and all other episodes.
