We then turn to the story of two blind men in the Gospels who cry out to Jesus, addressing him as "Son of David" and pleading, "Have mercy on us." This plea likely connects to Isaiah 55:3, which speaks of God’s promise to extend the "sure mercies of David" to His people, satisfying their deepest desires.
