Suzanne Knauf received her Juris Doctorate at California Western School of Law and went on to embark on numerous "firsts" as a woman in a then male-dominated legal profession. She was the first practicing female attorney in North San Diego County and became the first woman appointed to the bench in North San Diego County. She is currently retired and remains passionate about serving community organizations.
