In 2017, a serious motorbike accident in Vietnam nearly took Marie Skelton’s life and leg. Told she’d have trouble walking again and it ended her promising Volleyball career.  Multiple surgeries later, she was beating expectations.   Despite her recovery success, not long after the accident, she suffered depression and hit rock bottom.Once on the other side, she began researching how some people cope with major life changes better than others, conducting interviews with people all over the world. Now a mental wellbeing advocate and shares her findings and tools with people around the world. 2 year after the accident she hiked Machu Picchu and in 2020 she returned to competitive volleyball.
