Listen "024: Emotionally confused? "
Episode Synopsis
I began calling it "whatever-ness". A combination of emotions is hard to feel. Especially those that conflict with each other (for example, joy and sadness, hope and despair, pride and shame) - so no wonder you get confused when they appear at the same time. No wonder "whatever-ness" arises.
If you've done some work in getting to know yourself and your inner emotional landscape, sometimes it can even be harder to let yourself feel those emotions that occur simultaneously. Because you might be too quick to name them, therefore preventing those emotions to flow through you.
So what do you do? What do you do when you're feeling emotionally confused? This episode is dedicated to this.
(00:00) Introduction
(01:57) How it's possible to feel conflicting emotions at once
(03:38) Naming emotions too soon can cause more confusion
(06:02) Letting your physical body to feel the confusion
(07:23) Feeling of being stuck also complicates
(08:04) Placing your emotions in boxes too soon
