If you had to pick one word that answered the question, "How do you get into the kingdom of heaven", which word comes to mind? Jesus chose a very specific word, and it is the same one John the Baptist used, and the same one the disciples used, as well as the one found in the Old Covenant Jewish scriptures. It was: Repent.

But here's the catch...the Greek word repent means more accurately "to rethink" or "change thought" or "after thought".

So does repenting possibly mean more than just feeling bad about our failings? Does it perhaps invite us instead to think the way God does, and love what He loves? Maybe repenting is really about growing to love God's thoughts and kingdom more than anything else?!

Please consider rethinking what it means to repent, what it means to believe, what it means to be saved, and what it means to enter the Kingdom of God!
