Part 5 of the BX Companion Deep Dive is The Encounter.  When you are high levels, what changes in an encounter?  Optional rules, Mass combat rules, expanded attack matrices, and saving throw charts.
The quest for this deep dive is simple - Will this rules set work for expanding play beyond the 14th level cap in the original B/X rules or make a mess of things?  Is it different enough from the Rules Cyclopedia that one should use it instead of the former?  Listen along with me over the next several podcasts to see what the outcome will be.
The format of this deep dive was inspired by Rob C of the Down in a Heap podcast. This series of podcasts was started from a general comment and (sorta) challenge from Jason of the Nerd's RPG Variety Cast podcast.
