Listen "Ep 37 - How I built my content process"
Episode Synopsis
Here's how I've built a process for generating content.
Both for myself, and my team.
Start with something you know you can execute. One of the biggest hurdles of an effective process is biting off more than you can chew. Process is about execution, about momentum, and there is nothing wrong with starting small so that the habit can be made. So look at your schedule and how you're spending your time, and figure out how much time you KNOW you can dedicate each week, then come up with the activity you KNOW you can accomplish in that time (you should be left with a little time left over)
Start. Test it. Make sure that you really can execute on the content you need to create within the time window you've allotted. If you planned well, you will have been able to do it. If not, then GREAT, you learned something about yourself.
Adjust. If you were left with a lot of time left over, then you know you've got the capacity to fit something in. Were you short on time? Then either you need to open up more time or cut down on the amount of content you're trying to produce.
Optimize. The great thing with a process is it can always be improved. As you gain momentum, you'll start seeing ways you can be more efficient. You'll also fine ways to improve your quality without adding too much time.
Stick with it. One month isn't gonna cut it. You have to carry through for much longer.
Any ideas you'd like me to expand on?
