Listen "Episode 8 - Jake Townsend"
Episode Synopsis
Jake’s story is genuinely inspirational. Between the age of 20 and 30 Jake was hardly running; instead, he was leading a life of drinking and smoking. At the age of now 40, Jake completes a very regimented weekly program and has recorded PBs as fast as 16:30 for the 5k and 1:16 for the half marathon. Anyone can look at Jake’s running times from years ago and until now and it is clear that he has improved as runner. What we don’t see in these observations though, is the personal self-development Jake has undergone over this period, with running being the main catalyst to simply becoming a better person. So, as always, enjoy hearing from another local legend, Jake Townsend, as he sheds light into his truly remarkable and motivational story.
