Louis (AKA “Louie”) McAfee is currently a Brisbane based runner, training with the Gold Coast Run Co (GCRC). After graduating school in 2013, Louis moved overseas to join Boise State University to progress his running career. After three years there, he returned to Brisbane to join his current group, the GCRC. In the last handful of years, Louis has recorded some amazing results in major fun runs, including a 3rd place at Australia’s most well renowned fun run, City 2 Surf in Sydney in 2019 and 2nd place at Bridge to Brisbane in 2021, along with many other running events on the track. In part 1 you are introduced to Louis as a person and a runner and hear his story from running in highschool to returning to Brisbane to train with the Gold Coast Run Co. Part 2 will delve into the challenges that Louis has faced as a runner, his goals moving forward and then the usual quickfire 10 questions to finish where Louis expresses his concerns for AA progressing into the future.
