Listen "Episode 24 - Rory McHugh"
Episode Synopsis
Today in episode 24, I interview Brisbane runner, Rory McHugh. Although still quite a young man, Rory’s life to date has certainly seen some darker times. After drinking his way through his late teens and early 20s Rory, found running as a way of curtailing such habits that were inevitably leading to poor mental health. Today he is strong advocate for mental health, demonstrated clearly by his contributions to the Move for Movember cause. In fact, in 2021, Rory ran a marathon everyday for the month of November to raise money for the cause and awareness for mental health. This weekend, the 11th and 12th of November 2022, Rory will run a whopping 180km straight in a different way of moving for Movember as part of his contributions this year. Starting at 10pm and finishing at 5pm at the well known New Farm park, he jokes that he is expecting “Ned Brockmann” scenes as he finishes such a feat. So as always, sit back, relax and enjoying hearing from the inspirational Rory as he discusses such challenges and their impact on his mental health.**Please note certain conversations in this podcast may have a triggering effect on mental health.
