Listen "Bonus: An interview with Carole Hustead"
Episode Synopsis
Carole Hustead is originally from eastern Texas. She grew up on a dairy farm and met her husband Jerry in college. They married when Carole was 21. Jerry worked for the US Forest Service for 40 years, and during that time, they lived all over the Intermountain west. Jerry passed in 2021, after nearly 58 years of marriage.
Carole recently moved back to Texas to a retirement community where she's met new friends, and enjoyed an active lifestyle.
Until recently, Carole believed that loving again was fine for others, but not for herself. And then she went to an auction.
In this episode, she shares her story, including the barriers to loving again, and how she overcame them.
