Safe and Sound Protocol is an innovative way to treat past trauma and impact the nervous system to help patients self regulate.
Our guest, Natalie, is a 2016 University of Missouri-Occupational Therapy graduate. She owns and operates Rooted Therapy Services, LLC, a private pay mobile OT clinic serving Columbia, MO and surrounding areas. Rooted Therapy Services, LLC. was founded to provide quality,ethical and evidence based intervention for families and children experiencing behavioral and mental health challenges. She specializes in sensory modulation, emotional regulation, parent coaching, Safe and Sound Protocol and interoceptive work as it relates to mental health. Her past and current work experience in acute psychiatry, outpatient pediatrics and early intervention allows her to fulfill her calling to hold space for those in need while offering realistic and creative solutions to everyday challenges. When she isn't promoting mental well-being, you can find her exploring the outdoors or creating artwork with her children, practicing yoga, lifting weights and creating whole food recipes for her family to enjoy. She has found that a stable routine, healthy lifestyle and being present with her family allow her to practice what she preaches.
