Food insecurity in the Windsor-Essex region continues to be a major concern across the community, and for those who are charged with ensuring those in need receive the assistance they require. According to the Windsor-Essex Health Unit Over 1 in 10 households (10.8%) in Windsor-Essex County are moderately or severely food insecure. Especially in the age of coronavirus the need has never been greater. June Muir is the CEO, of the Unemployed Help Centre of Windsor Inc. She joined me this week to discuss food insecurity in Windsor-Essex, and what we can all do to lend a helping hand.
