Listen "Britton Welsch - Beehive Cheese"
Episode Synopsis
Not sure what Beehive Cheese see's in our podcast, but we are lucky to have them sponsor us! Britton Welsch is a GEM, and we are fortunate to have him on the show!
According to Britton's LinkedIn "Avid foodie, and farmer's market junkie. Beehive Cheese is my passion and gets me out of bed in the morning. I love telling stories, and making friends with cheese."
As the second generation of a family-owned company, Britton grew up at Beehive Cheese. He's watched his dad, and uncle build a creamery from scratch, using second hand equipment.
Laughably, Britton's dad and uncle only had 8 days of cheesemaking experience between the two of them. They took a giant leap and we’re still here 18 years later thriving. It was through this experience that Britton learned the values of hard work, trust, and being wise with resources.
At Beehive, Britton has always believed in supporting the community, treating employees with both compassion and respect, and having a good time making award-winning cheese.
Britton is so proud of Beehive's B-Corp certification. Most importantly, it gave Beehive a way to measure and assess the culture we’d already built from the ground up, and reveal blind spots. They did well on our audit, and learned that there is still more to be improved upon to truly use our business as a “force for good.”
As we see it, Britton has been living by a code, "As an artist of a consumable product, hands down the most rewarding aspect is making a product that brings people together to share joy." Which for that we couldn't be more proud to have them as a sponsor!
