Listen "S2E13: On the Art of Cross-Cultural Understanding in Professional Life"
Episode Synopsis
It seems to me that we who live in this interconnected age have been granted both a privilege and a burden unknown to our ancestors. The walls that once separated human societies have grown porous, and we find ourselves thrust into daily commerce with minds shaped by traditions, values, and experiences vastly different from our own. In my own modest travels, both physical and through the countless conversations held with those from distant shores, I have often reflected upon how our understanding of foreign customs remains superficial, despite our increased proximity. This deficiency becomes most evident in our professional dealings, where misapprehensions can lead not only to wounded pride but to failed ventures and severed relationships.
