A Philadelphia criminal judge has been suspended without pay after the state’s judicial conduct board found he violated the rules of ethics.
Scott DiClaudio, who had overseen many homicide appeal cases, was already on probation when he was accused of trying to manipulate a case under another city judge’s jurisdiction, tied to Meek Mill.
DiClaudio is alleged to have asked Judge Zachary Shaffer to influence a gun case involving the rapper’s friend. At a hearing last month, DiClaudio denied it.
He was reelected this week to another term. The investigation is still underway.
