Episode Synopsis
Seen in the photo on the 1979 Indiana All-star team, Battling Melvin Turpin for a rebound, and on the bus traveling with the Harlem Magicians. Chucky was a dominant player for the Wood Woodchucks and Arlington Golden Knights in late 70's Indiana high school basketball. He shares his story about a life in basketball. We talk about his game, reasons why he didn't end up an Indiana Hoosier or Louisville Cardinal, and he tells a hilarious story of the game he just wore his warm-ups and then head coach Dave Bliss told him to go in the game. All in all Charles Barnett had a great career in basketball, including two daughters who followed his footsteps in the game. Charles Barnett helps keep the nostalgia alive. Listen, share, and enjoy.
