Episode Synopsis
First, The plaintiff opened an in-home day care center during the pandemic. She says the defendant enrolled her two kids in the day care, then withdrew them both without notice. She’s suing for breach of contract. The defendant says her oldest child’s father died and she was grieving. She denies owing the plaintiff anything because she says the plaintiff’s day care center had code violations and she always sent her daughter home early.
Plus, The plaintiff says after he lost his wife and kids in a house fire, he became addicted to meth. He says he got clean a year ago after he and his fiancée lost custody of their kids. He’s suing the defendant for a refund on a car. The defendant says he was a meth user too after he was mocked because of a birth defect. He’s clean now, and he’s countersuing for emotional distress.
