The mission of Meals on Wheels is to promote the dignity and independence of seniors who are in need of nutritious meals, companionship, and Alzheimer’s Care. We talk about the meals portion of the program in this episode. We talk about how more than just a nutritious meal is delivered but in many cases how this daily connection with the world can provided a senior with companionship and a safety check. We talked about the importance and need right now for volunteers and how individuals, churches, and businesses can help. We also talked about the Animeals program to help homebound seniors with meals for their pets and how this program came to be.
