In episode 278 of iCantCU, I start off with some good news from the fantasy football world. Out of the three leagues I played in this year, I won two championships, including the NFB Students fundraising league with my team Ziggy FC. Yahoo’s fantasy sports app, while not perfect, is a standout example of accessibility done right. Unfortunately, not every organization gets accessibility right. I also talk about AbilityLinks, a job site for the disabled community. Their emails included a QR code with critical information, but it wasn’t screen-reader-friendly. For an organization that claims to serve the disabled, especially when blindness is considered a disability, this felt like a real miss. It’s frustrating, and I wonder why they didn’t just use a simple link. On the personal side, I’ve been working hard to migrate my website, iCantCU.com, to a new host. Along the way, I rediscovered some old email accounts, including one I’d set up for restaurant coupons. It’s funny to think about how much has changed since I started using the domain nearly 19 years ago.
