Listen "A Mental Health Conversation for Leaders"
Episode Synopsis
I think it's fair to say all of us have had a bad experience with a leader at some point in our military careers. But what happens when those interactions impact our mental health and ability to get care? How can we advocate for ourselves and others?Rachel Oswalt is a Navy veteran and military mental health advocate that's asking military leadership to do better. Through her own experiences trying to get support while active duty, she saw how broken the system and culture was when it came to supporting sailors with mental health struggles (which by the way - is ALL of us!). In this episode, she shares her story and how it fuels her to challenge and coach military leaders to help them improve. This is such an important conversation, and I know you're going to feel inspired to step up as well!***If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health, dial 988 for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
