Pressure has a way of making us question God, but Scripture teaches us something different. Growth is not formed in comfort. It is formed under resistance. Romans 5 reminds us that tribulation produces patience, patience produces experience, and experience produces hope. That hope does not leave us ashamed, because the love of God is already at work in us through the Holy Spirit. Many believers mistake pressure for punishment, but pressure is not rejection. It is refinement. God does not waste resistance. He uses it to build endurance, wisdom, and maturity. Nothing grows strong without tension. Muscles develop under load. Faith develops the same way. When we avoid resistance, we delay transformation. When we stay in it, hope is formed from the inside out. The lie is thinking that if God approved this season, it would not hurt. The truth is that growth always feels heavier before it feels stronger. God shapes us most in the areas that need to carry the most weight. So today, stay with one uncomfortable obedience a little longer than comfort wants. Pressure is not against you.
