The opening verses of Malachi chapter two are strong and intimidating as God harshly chastises the prophets of Israel for their compromise and warns them of the tragic consequences that will result from their failure. This piercing word also provides a challenge to Christian leaders today as well as providing a powerful admonition to all believers, calling us to keep ourselves in a position to be light in a dark world.
