"Good News in Peace"Luke 4:16-21

This week, we continue our Advent journey that leads us toward Christmas with our "Good News of Great Joy" sermon series. Advent is a word that means "arrival" and signals a season of waiting for the promised Messiah, Jesus. We are using Jesus' announcement of his public ministry found in Luke 4:18-19, when he quotes from Isaiah 61. This week we focus on the phrase "good news for the poor." What does Jesus mean by good news? Who are the poor? How do these words find relevance in our lives today? Join us as we explore these questions.
