Listen "Q&A Session Thirty-Nine: Organising International Competitions with Meet Director Samantha Culbert"
Episode Synopsis
In this week’s Q&A, Dave McNeill survives another week in the hosting chair, and is back this week talking to Samantha Culbert - the meet director of the very successful Maurie Plant Track Meet, held 3 weeks ago. The pair discuss what goes into putting on a world class track meet, how you get International stars like Fred Kerley and Emma Coburn to the start lines, and where the money comes from, and where the money goes in such big meets. Samantha also reflects on the inspiration for the meet - Maurie Plant, and how they hope to go even bigger next year in his honour.
