Episode Synopsis

The Mind of Christ—The Power of HumilityWelcome back, friends. Today, we’re talking about something that cuts straight to the core of what it means to follow Jesus: having the mind of Christ. And if we’re going to talk about that, we have to talk about humility because humility isn’t just part of Christ’s character, it is the foundation of his entire life and mission. Now, humility gets misunderstood. Some people think it means self-hate, like walking around with your head down, convinced you’re worthless. But that’s not biblical humility. True humility is about thinking of yourself less, not thinking less of yourself. It’s about stepping down from self-centeredness and stepping up to serve. Jesus, the Son of God, the King of Kings, became the servant of all. That’s our model. Philippians 2:5-8 tells us that Christ emptied himself, took the form of a servant, and humbled himself to the point of death on a cross. That’s humility in action. So, what does that mean for us? It means rejecting theworld’s idea that greatness is about power, wealth, or personal glory. Because, let’s be honest, anything you build for yourself in this life disappears the moment the coroner calls it. The real victory, the real spoils, aren’t things you can store in a bank account. They are transcendent, eternal rewards in a kingdom that doesn’t fade. And here’s the paradox: the way up is down. The world says exalt yourself, but Jesus says, “Whoever humbles himself shall be exalted” (Matt. 23:12). So, let’s take a hard look at what kind of mind we have. If it’s not the mind of Christ, it’s time to make a change. Because in the end, every knee will bow. The only question is whether we’ll do it willingly today or be forced to later.
