Justin Verlinden is a Cognitive Neuroscience PhD Student in the Psychology Department at the University of Kentucky. His mentor is Dr. Jessica Weafer, whose research focuses on identifying neurobiological factors underlying sex differences in risk for alcohol and drug abuse. Justin’s area of focus is on the relationship between sleeping and drinking behaviors, particularly amongst heavy drinkers. Justin is also an avid runner and health nut, although he admittedly has weaknesses for pizza and beer.
