Means that the demands of the law were met in Christ. Since we were baptized into Christ when He died and rose from the dead, our faith in Him means that the demands of the law were met as well. In other words, the law of God demanded that all of it be obeyed, and failure meant death. Man could not keep the law, and was therefore under the penalty which was death (eternal death which is to be forever separated from God). Jesus Christ kept the law, and satisfied the curse of the law by offering himself as the sin offering (offering demanded by God for forgiveness of sins).
