Listen "Reviewing how the body keeps the score with Dr. Steve Berry"
Episode Synopsis
How does emotional health affect physical health? And vice versa? Answers to this and many more questions can be found in “The Body Keeps the Score,” a book that has spent over 141 weeks on the New York Times Bestseller list, including over 6 months in the #1 spot. Steve Berry, a family physician in Orem, UT, joins Kristi to talk about the truths they have both found in this book. As a medical professional, Steve has seen his fair share of traumas, both emotional and physical. In this episode, we can learn from him the importance of emotional safety, how our bodies are in direct communication with our brain (including emotions, experiences, and perceptions), and that ultimately you have power over your well-being.Steve has been a Board Certified Family Physician for 24 years. He is married to Becky Berry (who was on the podcast recently, link below!), and they have four boys. He enjoys the outdoors, speaking Portuguese with some of his patients, and being involved in church activities.Connect with Kristi:WebsiteInstagramFacebookBecky Berry’s episodeThe Body Keeps the ScoreMore on Steve: Revere Health bioLINKS TO ALL BOOKS AND PRODUCTS MENTIONED:PRODUCED BY:NINETY EIGHT STUDIOS Hosted on Acast.
