Paul reminded the Corinthians that they helped him during his troubles by praying for him. Paul also encouraged forgiveness to be given to the person in Corinth who made both him and the other believers in Corinth sad. Paul advised them that the community needed to remind the offending person how much they loved him so that he would not be overly sad and so that Satan would not outwit them. In our discussion for daily application we will talk about the importance of sharing in one another struggles, bearing one another's burdens, and also being able to share in the comfort that the Holy Spirit gives to them (and us!). We will be encouraged to pray for one another, since it is helpful for those going through difficult times. We will also be reminded to forgive one another because Jesus forgave us. We need to practice forgiveness with one another so that Satan does not cause division between believers.
