Listen "030 JASON KHALIPA, 2008 Crossfit Games Champ & Founder of NCFIT"
Episode Synopsis
Jason is an American former Crossfit Games athlete, who made 8 consecutive appearances and the games and is known for his win as the 2008 CrossFit Games champions and other notable finishes in second place in 2013 and third place in 2014. He also won the Spirit of the Games award in 2009, which is an award given to the CrossFit gamesathlete who exemplifies extraordinary character and inspires those watching to face their biggest challenges with resilience, grace, and kindness. In 2016, Jason's daughter Ava was diagnosed with Luekemia which led him to stepping away from competing in the games. Since his days competing in the CrossFit Games, Jason has spent his professional time building his fitness business, NCFit Gyms and the NCFit Collective. He is also the host of his own wildly popular podcast call Effort Over Everything. Jason is also known for the book he wrote titled "As Many Reps as Possible." This book serves as a framework to being more present, living more intentionally, and accomplishing more in life. Not in a hypothetical, mushy way, but in a practical, real way. "As Many Reps as Possible" or "AMRAP" in the CrossFit community is an approach I've adopted in my own life and in today's conversation we talk a lot about how to apply this framework in our roles as leaders of our families. Jason is a hyper present, hyper focused guy, and after speaking with him, its no surprise to me that he was able earn the fittest man on earth while also accomplishing what he's accomplished in business so far all while keeping his family as his number one priority. Above it all, Jason is an incredible man, husband, and father.
